Our traditional shuttle service includes us picking you up at Blacksand's Beach Trailhead in Shelter Cove and dropping you off at the Mattole trailhead to start your hike. We do offer Reverse shuttle options if you are doing the trail in the opposite direction. For this option or a custom request please email us or call our office.

We arranged a custom shuttle from Arcata to the trailhead at Mattole and then from Black Sands back up to Arcata. Our driver, Conor, was wonderful....full of advice, knowledge of local lore, and humor. At first we had considered renting cars and driving to the Mattole trailhead ourselves, but after experiencing those narrow, winding, ascending/descending roads it turns out using the shuttle was one of the best decisions we made for the hike!
Okay, so I didn't book this company personally, but I did hike alongside their group for parts of the lost coast trail. As far as full service guides and shuttles go, Blu was a very thoughtful and capable leader and logistician. If you have a larger group or just need a shuttle to trailhead, give these guys a shout.
