Shuttle Cancellation Policy
We know life can be unpredictable and things happen. Here are your options, should you need to cancel your shuttle to the Lost Coast Trail:
- A $50 of total amount paid will serve as a non-refundable fee for any group bookings. In the case the trip is cancelled for any reason you will be refunded the remaining total.Â
- For solo hikers a $25 non refundable-fee will be applied.
- If you cancel less than a week but prior to 48 hours of your trip, you’ll be charged a $25 cancellation fee per seat.
- We don’t issue refunds for trips canceled less than 48 hours. This includes cancellations due to tides and weather prior to your shuttle.
- Refund policy still applies if you are cancelling due to personal reasons, illnesses, and injuries.
- No refunds are given for failure to book your BLM permit.
- No refunds are given for failure to check tides before booking your shuttle.Â
- No refund will be given for missing your shuttle. We provide very specific instructions on pick up location and it is located all over our website. We are not made responsible for your failure to read thoroughly.
- We will give you the curtesy of changing rescheduling as long as it is done with a 48 hour notice. If you ask for a reschedule within 24 hours a $25 rescheduling fee will be applied.
In the event you miss your shuttle we will give you the option to get on the next available shuttle if there is availability.
This is a small company please respect our policy just as you would with any big corporate company.Â

Shuttles during off-season Policy
Shuttles are not confirmed until a week prior to requested date. If the weather permits safe travel we will then confirm with client and take payment.Â
Payment becomes NON-REFUNDABLE once you have agreed. Only exception being is if weather drastically turns and we are unable to transport you safely.
It is very important that you note that us being able to transport safely DOES NOT mean we are saying the trail is safe or favorable. It is up to the HIKER to do their due diligence. We will not refund you due to trail conditions not being what you hoped. By paying you are confirming that you have checked trail conditions, weather, and any other factor and still wish to proceed.Â
Guided Hikes Cancellation Policies
Our goal is to work with you when life presents us with scheduling challenges, to ensure your best experience and the convenience of other participants we have designed the following set of guidelines. Overnight Trips
- 28 days before departure you qualify for a full refund or transfer to a trip (@the same cost within three months) with room available.
- 14-27 days you are eligible for 50% or a transfer to a trip (@ the same cost with room available within three months)
- 8-13 days you are eligible for a 25% refund
- 7 days or less, your trip is non-refundable unless we cancel a trip due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances in which we will give you a 48-hour notice.
We must receive a minimum of six participants to run our backpacking trips in order to make it the best experience possible for the group. If we do not receive our minimum within 6 days of departure we have the right to make the unfortunate decision to cancel or re-schedule. In this case we will fully refund your money and give you a phone call and an email letting you know.
